What is "Carbon Footprint"?
The carbon footprint represents the total amount of greenhouse gases, mainly CO₂, emitted directly or indirectly by a person, company, or activity. Reducing it is essential to combat climate change and minimize environmental impacts.

More than flights
Our commitment to the environment is one of our main pillars. We constantly review our routines and implement new sustainable measures. This way, we minimize our impact on the planet with responsibility, transparency, and long-term vision.

Sustainable construction
Our terminal was built using repurposed shipping containers, reusing over 90% of materials and drastically reducing the consumption of water, sand, wood, bricks, and other resources. Every detail was designed to lower environmental impact.

6,776 Kilograms
This is the amount of plastic waste we removed from the oceans to build our sustainable deck, preventing the deforestation of 13.6 adult trees. We replaced traditional wood with 100% sustainable, recycled, and certified products.

Paperless
We constantly monitor and work to reduce our carbon footprint. We invest in innovative solutions to minimize our environmental impact and have adopted 100% digital documentation, fully eliminating the use of paper in daily operations.

Auditing & Transparency
Vertical Rio conducts annual audits with independent and certified companies. These evaluations help measure our emissions and ensure that all carbon offsetting and sustainability actions are effective, verifiable, and fully transparent.

Why do we do this?
Simply because we believe it’s our duty. We love Rio de Janeiro and want to continue offering this unforgettable experience in a conscious, responsible, and sustainable way—today and in the future. This commitment is part of who we are.
